Occupied Places

This project investigates the occupy movement from a spatial standpoint. Initially, 35 sections of sites across the United States were taken as a cross-section of the movement. A symbol, derived from the physical shape of the site on a map, was used to represent each city. However, this idea grew to create a symbol for each site the was also comprised of all the other sites, tying together a spatially fragmented but ideologically united movement.
